Welcome to Mission Navy Yard, a lively bar and restaurant located across from Nationals Park and three blocks from Audi Field. We opened in July and eagerly provide a vibrant bar scene, daily happy hour, spacious private event and outdoor spaces and delicious Mexican food. Our sister restaurant, Mission Dupont Circle, has been serving strong margaritas and tasty tacos since 2014. We refuse to believe that a restaurant only has one purpose: we aim to provide a bustling bar scene, comfortable dining and versatile private event spaces that can accommodate groups of all sizes. Our spaces are created to be welcoming for brunch, happy hour, dinner and private events, as well as those looking to rewind in a vibrant weekend late night atmosphere. On Friday and Saturday nights after dinner and game watches have ended we welcome some of the city's best DJs to keep things going strong right until close.
The first of our four bars is found in a two-story atrium that is designed with the feel of an outdoor courtyard. A sprawling staircase encircles a two-story tower that overlooks the plaza bar. DC’s largest bar, at 150-feet, anchors the second level, flanked by six garage doors that open onto large outdoor balconies. The main dining room, with its own bar and balconies, is also on the second level. A private dining and event space boasts the restaurant’s fourth bar.
Dinner is served Sunday - Wednesday until 10 pm, with a limited late night menu available until midnight. Thursday thru Saturday the dining room remains open until 11 pm, followed by a late night menu until 1 am. Brunch is served on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 am to 3 pm.
We aim to provide a hospitable experience for groups of all sizes, budgets and types, from casual 15 person birthday parties to large scale corporate buyouts The venue’s multiple spaces allow us to host events like birthdays, alumni events, late night wedding after-parties, corporate receptions, fundraisers, group brunches and dinners and more. Our menu includes Mexican-inspired dishes from our Dupont Circle location, as well as new dishes like pan-seared salmon and pasilla chile short rib. Roberto Hernandez, the executive chef, takes pride in creating fresh and delicious dishes. Our 16 draft lines include ten for beer, three for wine and Prosecco and three for margaritas and cocktails. We use only the highest quality tequilas and make every ingredient fresh in house.
